The LOU establishes a collaborative framework between Pranab College and NISM to promote financial-market education, professional development, industry exposure and career opportunities for students.

Under the LOU, students of Pranab College will receive opportunities and support to appear for NISM Certification Examinations. The initiative will enable students to enhance their knowledge and professional competencies in the securities and financial-services sector and gain exposure to specialised financial-market education and professional certification.

The collaboration will also provide opportunities for Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), enabling faculty members to enhance their knowledge, teaching capabilities and professional understanding of securities markets and related areas. These programmes will contribute to the continuous professional development of the teaching community.

As part of the collaboration, students will also have opportunities to undertake study tours to the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). The study tours will provide students with valuable institutional and practical exposure to the securities-market ecosystem and help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world financial-market practices.

The LOU will further create avenues for placement and career opportunities for students through industry exposure and professional networks associated with NISM. These opportunities are expected to help students explore career pathways in securities markets, financial services and allied sectors while strengthening their employability and professional readiness.

The signing of the LOU marks an important step in Pranab College’s commitment to industry-academia collaboration, financial literacy, professional certification and employability-oriented education. As the first college in Nagaland to enter into an LOU with NISM, Pranab College aims to provide its students and faculty with enhanced opportunities for specialised learning, practical exposure, professional development and career advancement.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen the academic environment at Pranab College and create a meaningful bridge between higher education and the financial-services industry, contributing to the professional and career development of students in Nagaland.
