Pranab College joined hands with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, MY Bharat, Sports Authority of India (SAI), and NSS to observe National Sports Day under the Khelo India and Khel Ki Baat, PM Ke Saath initiative. The programme began with the virtual address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to youth across the country. He highlighted the importance of sports in shaping individuals, transforming lives, and building discipline and confidence, while calling upon the youth to come together to strengthen India’s presence in the global sporting arena. The address set the tone for a day dedicated to celebrating sports, inspiring youth, and encouraging greater participation in sporting activities.
At the district level, the National Sports Day programme was organised by the NSS Cell of Pranab College as part of the nationwide initiative to promote sports among the young people of the nation.
The programme was chaired by Ms. Ulla Laureen Fernandez, NSS Programme Officer, Pranab College, and commenced with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Santosh Kumar, Principal, Pranab College. This was followed by the Nasha Mukt Viksit Bharat pledge, collectively undertaken by the gathering.
